How the $199 templates work

What's in the download, the Claude customization guide, and the done-for-you option.

Each template on the marketplace is a complete Next.js website: every page, every component, all the code, yours to keep. $199 gets you a working site built by our studio, the same kind of design work we build for $1,000 client projects, without the custom build time. You're not licensing a theme with a subscription attached. You own the files.

What's in the download

Three things arrive when you buy a template.

  • The full codebase. Every page listed on the template's detail page comes as real code, not a static export you can't touch. If you or a developer you hire wants to add a page or change a section, the code underneath is a normal Next.js project.
  • A Claude customization guide. A written walkthrough for using Claude to make the template yours: swapping in your logo and colors, rewriting the copy for your business, replacing the placeholder photography with your own. Written for someone who has never opened this codebase before.
  • Launch instructions. Step-by-step notes for getting the site live on your own domain, written for a first-time deploy.

What's not in the download

Copywriting, photography, and branding are yours to supply. The template ships with placeholder text and placeholder imagery in the studio's own voice, close enough to see the design working, not written for your business. Swapping that content in is most of what the customization guide covers, since it's the step most first-time buyers get stuck on.

The license

Each template is a single-site license: you launch it once, for one business, under one domain. It's not a resale license and it's not meant for an agency reusing the same template across multiple clients. If that's what you're after, email us and we'll talk about what makes sense.

Customizing it yourself, or having us do it

Templates are built to be edited with Claude's help, and the customization guide walks you through exactly that. Most of the change work, copy, colors, images, contact details, is the kind of editing you can do with Claude open in one tab and the guide in another, even if you've never written code before.

If you'd rather skip that step, we'll do it for you. For $200 we install your template, load in your content and photography, and launch it live on your domain. After that, hosting runs $50 a month, and changes go through our client portal instead of you editing code directly, the same support arrangement our $1,000 client sites use.

Who this is for

Templates make sense for a business that's comfortable using Claude to edit code with a guide in hand, or that has a friend or a low-cost freelancer who can spend an afternoon on it. If you'd rather not touch a codebase at all, the $1,000 custom buildout or the $200 done-for-you install on a template are both built for that, and either one hands you the same $50-a-month portal support afterward.

Picking a template

There are three right now. Cadence is a pastel bento layout built for content studios and agencies selling a weekly output. Lumen is an aurora-washed editorial one-pager for the same kind of studio work with a softer, more magazine feel. Faithful is a deep pine and acid palette over a video hero, built for premium services that want to read as engineered rather than decorative. Each one is a full working site you can look through before buying, not a mockup.

After you buy

A checkout link isn't live for every template yet, so a few detail pages route you to an email order instead of a buy button. Either way, you get the same three things: the code, the guide, and the license, sent to the email you order from. If you paid by email order, expect a reply the same business day with the download and next steps, not an automated receipt and silence.

Questions before you buy, about whether a template fits your business or how the license works for your situation, go to the same inbox. We answer those ourselves, before you spend the $199, not after.
